Founders Tori Robinson and Leah O'Malley grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
Tori was raised with enterprising values—her family business being a major cosmetics manufacturer. She honed her love of drawing, creating, and visualizing at Arizona State University. Leah was always a natural social butterfly, with a talent for creating community very early on. She attended undergrad at the University of Colorado, gaining a strong background in sales and operations.
In the summer of 2016, Tori and Leah found themselves going through the same thing: a big breakup with a serious boyfriend—their exes just happened to be best friends. The girls formed an unparalleled bond, supporting one another through it. That singular experience inspired a mantra that turned into a concept for their current business venture—in 2018, BOYS LIE was founded.
